Onwards and upwards ……..

Its been a dreadful year for many of us but hopefully things are set to improve in 2021. Most of our residents, in both homes, have now had their second vaccinations and many of our staff have had their first vaccination too.

Unfortunately Proctor House will be saying goodbye to Sheila, their Home Manager, in April this year. Sheila has been an extremely dedicated employee who has made it her mission to ensure our older adults with Learning Difficulties received the care they deserved for the last two decades. She will be sadly missed by the Organisation, her colleagues, residents, their families and friends but we all wish her all the best for her well deserved retirement.

Crosshill Resident Survey

How time passes – It’s that time of year again when we formally request that our relatives and their families take 5-10 minutes of their time to tell us how we are doing.

We will be placing questionnaires at the reception, in each residents docket and there is also a copy here, on line – click here , that you can down load and submit to Crosshill or to me via email maria@rayson-homes.com

We are truly grateful for the time taken to complete these questionnaires as  your comments can be useful for our staff and your views do have the potential to impact on our working practices.

Many thanks to you all for your ongoing support Maria

Busy Year

We have had a busy year which is why we haven’t posted any posts on our web page so far this year ! Our homes are small and our beds are sought after which is why advertising has taken a back step however I’m hoping we can update this site so it is in keeping with our fantastic reputations !

Crosshill maintained its Band 1 status this year and Good CQC rating and Proctor House maintained its CQC grading of Excellent in care for the second year running !

We have had a number of new Nurses join us this year including 2 previous local Care Home Nurse Managers ! So a big welcome to Katherine (Julie’s new Deputy Nurse Manager) Susan, Neil and Jane. Just need a night shift Nurse (1 night a week) to complete our team ……..

Hope to publish a bit more new more regularly

Maria

We can now offer more care for local older people

We had a lovely open day ! Many visitors attended to see our new building, enjoy the vintage entertainment and sample Maria on the Open DayJoyce’s wonderful 1940’s home cooking !

We are now in the process of refurbishing Crosshill’s lounge but we hope that by the beginning of April we will be able to accommodate 6 more residents.

We are still looking for like minded staff to join us including a Deputy Nurse Manager, Registered Nurse, Care Workers and an Activity Worker. Please check out the ‘job opportunities’ part of this website.
